**Production Operator**
**Job Description**
We are looking for motivated individuals to assist our food production plant in Orangeville, IL.
**Responsibilities**
+ Work on a team to provide production and sanitation support.
+ Comply with all safety standards and regulations provided by the company and government.
+ Work in all assigned areas of production and perform relief duties when required.
+ Ensure that the Master Sanitation Schedule, good organization, and housekeeping is consistently completed.
+ Ensure that all documentation is completed and verified daily.
+ Work effectively as part of a team and display a positive attitude.
+ Be cooperative and take initiative to ensure smooth operations.
+ Perform other duties/projects as apparent or assigned.
+ Become forklift certified, if applicable.
+ Use manual pallet jacks.
+ Read, understand, and complete SOP’s and company documentation.
+ Participate and perform in Clean in Place (CIP), housekeeping, and chemical use.
+ Be flexible to be cross trained and adaptable to move between work centers.
+ Perform equipment assembly and setup.
+ Work with minimal supervision.
+ Function and perform in wet and dusty environments with varying temperatures.
+ Label to packaging standards.
+ Work in elevated platforms (varying heights).
+ Work with allergens present (e.g., soy, wheat, and milk).
+ Work in a safe and responsible manner always, following all safety policies, procedures, and rules.
+ Report unsafe observations or conditions to a supervisor or manager.
+ Immediately report an injury or accident to a supervisor or manager.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience within food production preferred.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Good math skills.
+ Computer data entry.
+ Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time.
+ Problem solving and deductive reasoning.
+ Ability to lift 50 lbs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Train, lead, and develop teams.
+ Operate dryer and oversee mixing and bagging operations.
+ Fill in and cover in Supervisor's absence.
+ Ability to work in confined spaces during cleaning/troubleshooting.

**Work Environment**
The position requires working in a food production environment with varying temperatures, wet and dusty conditions, and elevated platforms. Shifts are either AM (4:30am – 5pm) or PM (4:30pm – 5am) with rotating weekends, working 3 days one week and 4 days the following week. The dress code includes appropriate attire for safety and hygiene in a food production setting.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orangeville, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
