They will start as machine assistants, collecting cardboard at the end of a machine. The work is very fast-paced, with some machines producing up to 400 boxes per minute. The role requires constant movement and lifting, including inspecting boxes using a tape measure, assisting in different areas, and staying proactive during slow periods by finding tasks like sweeping. Additionally, they will work in the baler room to collect and manage excess materials. **Responsibilities** + Assist with machine operation and collect cardboard at the end of machines + Inspect boxes with a tape measure to ensure quality + Maintain a fast pace and constant movement + Proactively find tasks during slow periods, such as sweeping + Work in the baler room to collect and process excess materials **Essential Skills** + 1+ year of machine operator experience + Ability to lift 50lbs regularly + Proficiency in reading a tape measure to the 1/8 of an inch **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience operating a printer, folder, gluer, or working in a corrugated environment is beneficial **Why Work Here?** Employees receive a $1 raise upon conversion after four months, with an additional $1 raise after another four months. The company offers a growth plan from operator assistant to operator 1 within a year, with potential to advance to operator 2. **Work Environment** The facility is not climate-controlled but remains relatively clean. It is comfortable in winter but can be warm in summer due to the machines. The dress code requires steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
