Your Future Role

Are you ready to take on a new challenge in a dynamic manufacturing environment? As a Production Operator - Painter, you will leverage your expertise to ensure that our rail vehicles meet all quality and aesthetic standards. You will work alongside a collaborative team dedicated to excellence in manufacturing and production processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

Perform all necessary paint preparation on various substrates of rail vehicles. Apply coatings to all areas of rail vehicles to meet established company and customer requirements. Execute acceptable repairs on applied coatings, including paint and fiberglass gel coat. Train and oversee less experienced painters to ensure compliance with company and customer standards. Successfully pass required respiratory testing to wear necessary personal protective equipment. Adhere to all Alstom Zero Deviation Procedures along with Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations. Read blueprints and effectively operate required tools, equipment, and machinery with minimal training for the application of decals and stenciling. Maintain detailed paint process records, including coatings batch numbers, expiration dates, and spraying conditions (temperature and humidity).

 

All About You

We value passion and dedication in our candidates. While we do not expect you to have every skill, the following qualifications will ensure your success in this role:

More than 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting, specifically with electronics, electrical, or mechanical devices. Completion of a vocational course in Auto Body Repair or 2 years of experience working in an Auto Body Shop or Industrial Paint Shop. Strong focus on manufacturing effectiveness and quality, along with excellent collaboration and communication skills. Proficiency in the local language.

 

Certification Criteria:

Demonstrated ability to paint a test plate and meet the orange peel criteria (no runs allowed). Must meet gloss level requirements and pass adhesion testing.

Pay
