How you will contribute
Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Painter position in the Composite department. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will maintain and operate the manual paint booth and paint mix area in a safe and efficient manner. Additionally, but not limited to, you will…
Maintain all paint / fluid components and hardwareMaintain all associated paints, pigments, etc. in the paint mix areaEnsure proper settings and paint pot readiness prior to painting and maintain settings over the course of the shiftClean, check and record all parts prior to paintingEnsure all daily and weekly paperwork is completed and submittedKeep containers containing chemicals labeled and covered at all times in accordance with EPA and fire prevention standardsRegularly inspect parts for quality at prescribed intervals per written and verbal guidelinesTroubleshoot and correct various operational and quality problemsDetect and report defective material, improper equipment operation and unusual conditions to supervisorMaintain work area and equipment in a clean, safe, orderly condition and meets all DHEC and OSHA requirementsFollow all standard and/or prescribed safety regulationsFollow all standard operating proceduresWhat it takes
Required Qualifications
Proficient with the use of hand tools for daily general maintenance of paint equipmentAbility to read and follow written and oral directionsAbility to understand order prints and follow production scheduleMaintain supplies needed on a weekly basisAbility to stand for extended periods of time, use hand and arms to reach, push, pull, stoop, kneel and lift up to 75 lbs. with assistanceWork with and around chemicals/solvents and work in hot and cold environments.Highly qualified candidates will also possess:
High School diploma or equivalentAbility to utilize proper decision making techniquesPainter experience a plusMust be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional resultsBenefits
