The Production Planner fills a key role in the continued success of the Plant Operations. This role liaises between Sales, Customer Service, and Plant Operations to ensure production operations are effectively planned and executed to meet Customer sales orders.

Work daily with production on job status, material consumption, and reporting. Communicate and coordinate with Operations, Distribution, Sales, and Customer Service to prioritize and plan. Manage raw material and consumable supply inventories to ensure materials are available when needed. Accurately track and report all production inventory. Drive actions to improve inventory discrepancies. Responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules. Develop and update production reporting and analysis tools, such as production rates by product, downtime analysis, and schedule attainment. Provide data and results for daily, weekly, and month-end reports. Recommend improvement strategies to optimize production output and quality. Generate proper documentation, labels, placards, etc., as necessary for each job. Drive continuous improvement to work methods, flows and processes. Develop and update production reporting and analysis tools, such as production rates by product, downtime analysis, and schedule attainment. Develop and maintain work order system for every customer order. Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures. Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazards. Ensure adherence to quality practices, such as proper record-keeping and raw material lot tracking. Continuous Improvement and Problem Solving: Analyze data and recommend improvements to solve inefficiencies. Support the team by actively participating in or leading problem solving or improvement projects. \n Associate degree or a combination of High school diploma and data entry/analysis experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, along with Microsoft Office Suite knowledge. 3-5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or clerical position is required. Experience with Continuous Improvement tools, such as: Lean, Six-Sigma, RCCA’s, is highly desired. Experience working in a SQF (Safe Quality Foods) or other ISO certified operations is a plus. Strong organization and communication skills. Must possess a high level of attention to details and work quality. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is required.
