Production Planner

Our Taneytown, MD Pump Manufacturing facility is over 150,000 square feet and provides capability for engineering, design, customer service, machining, assembly, and testing for a diverse product portfolio.

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Production Planner that will work closely with the department / project managers to make sound business decisions that positively impact the ability to meet the needs of our customers while satisfying quality, inventory, cost, and delivery requirements. 


Responsibilities:

Oversee inventory acquisition and supply management for both demand management and inventory planning of all product linesPlan, schedule, and manage the materials for delivering time-critical components to support assigned production area and/or ProjectPlans and schedules Coatings, assembly, shipping, and other manufacturing operation activities to ensure customer satisfactionAssisting management to resolve problems with late shipments, material shortages, customer schedule changes, and cancellations of customer orders.Manage rescheduling process when unforeseen issues arise, keeping customer OTD as the priorityCoordinate with warehouse, engineering, manufacturing engineering and quality to minimize schedule impact when issues ariseAbility to use ERP systems to identify and track resolution of material shortagesCreate and organize work order packetsPreparing, coordinating, and participating in physical inventory counts.


Requirements:

5+ years’ experience in Materials or related fieldKnowledgeable of the fundamental structure and workings of Materials Replenishment Planning (MRP) and/or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systemsExperienced in master scheduling, production planning, demand management, purchasing, and cost accounting techniques.Positive Attitude, Ethics and Integrity which support Flowserve’s Core valuesGood oral and written communications skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office/OutlookCapacity to effectively manage multiple, sometimes competing, priorities and still achieve desired resultsKnowledge of continuous improvement / LEAN methods is desiredAbility to lift 50 pounds using proper lifting equipment and perform duties while standing for extended periods of time

Preferred Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or Supply Chain degree

The pay range for this position is $70,199.37 - $105,355.76 USD Annual
