Production Planner

Immediate opening for an experienced Production Planner in the greater Providence area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning within the manufacturing industry preferably in jewelry/metal fabrication with the ability to manage the flow of materials, coordinate production schedules, and ensure timely delivery of finished products.
The pay range for this role is $70-$85K depending on experience.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and maintain production schedules based on order forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity. Ensure timely and efficient production to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines.
+ Monitor and manage raw material and component inventory levels. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
+ Collaborate with the sales and design teams to understand order requirements, prioritize production runs, and manage any changes or adjustments to orders.
+ **:** Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize waste. Analyze production data to recommend and implement best practices.
+ Work closely with quality control teams to ensure that production processes meet quality standards and specifications. Address any quality issues that arise during production.
+ Coordinate with various departments (e.g., design, procurement, and production) to ensure that resources are allocated effectively and production goals are achieved.
+ Generate and analyze production reports, including progress, delays, and performance metrics. Provide regular updates to management on production status and any potential issues.
**Qualifications:**
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning, preferably within the metal fabrication/jewelry manufacturing industry or a similar high-precision field.
+ Strong understanding of metal fabrication/jewelry production processes, materials, and supply chain management. Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools.
+ Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across various departments and interact with suppliers and customers.
+ Education: HS Diploma or equivalent
+ Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, or a related field. Relevant certifications or additional training in production planning is a plus.
+ Proficiency in production planning software and tools. Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
