The production planner plays a key role in the day to day operations of our plant. The production planner is responsible for translating the daily needs on the one hand , and the S&OP plan on the other hand to a plan. The planner needs to follow up the execution of the plan in close collaboration with the production team. The planner is also an important partner in the continuous improvement activities in the plant, aiming to stabilize the schedule in production and the adherence to the schedule.
Key responsibilities are
Making the production planning based on what the customer/tolling partner needs in a feasible way (in line with capacities, material availabilities and physical availabilities). We produce ‘Make To Stock’ and plan our productions based on the incoming orders, as managed by our Orderadmin department; Plan the capacity and availability of means of production, materials, staffing; Planning of the stock of raw materials / packaging materials & timely ordering / calling off the various raw materials and packaging materials; Plan the stock of finished products in order to keep the stock as low as possible; Daily follow-up of the planned productions, the quantities actually produced and adjustments where necessary; Contributing to Continuous Improvement in the plant by understanding the causes for deviations and acting on them; Monitor the adherence of the plan to the agreed S&OP plan; Foreseeing year based production slots for our tolling partners; Foreseeing production stops for planned and not planned maintenance and works; Contribute to the implementation and weekly execution of the S&OE (Sales & Operations Execution) process; Contribute to improvement initiatives to drive OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) in the plant; Act as a point of contact for the staff.About you
Bachelor level required (or equal by experience); Good knowledge of Dutch and English; Knowledge of planning concepts or willing to invest time in education; Good analytical and IT skills (excel, powerbi, …); Team player, able to collaborate in a cross functional way; Experience in a planning department (at least 3 years); Problem solving skills and root cause analysis skills; Able to work closely with other departments; Customer oriented; Be able to work under pressure; Part of a permanent service which can be called outside of office hours. (rotation within the team).
