Production Planner
The Production Planner is responsible for overseeing the daily status of customer sales orders within the AX ERP system. This role involves ensuring the timely reservation and release of orders for warehouse picking and shipping. The Production Planner will communicate with various teams, including EDI, Customer Service, Order Management, and Sales, to address inventory shortages, cancellations, and backorders. Additionally, the role requires preparing and distributing sales order status and performance reports, responding to customer sales order requests, and coordinating with the Planning/Replenishment, Transportation, Receiving, and Shipping Teams to prioritize inventory and shipments.
What You Will Do:
Monitor the daily status of the DSC customer sales orders in the AX ERP system and the Master Shipping Report to review the reservation and release of the orders to the warehouse for pick and shipping.Communicate inventory shortages, back-orders cancellations needed on the orders to complete the reservation and release to meet the customer’s fill rate and on time delivery requirements.Prepare Excel report for distribution detailing order status, sales order activity and performance to the appropriate associates throughout the AllegionUse CRM and email communications to monitor and respond to specific customer sales order requests for expedites, recommit dates, customer shipment issues and discrepancies. Communicate and coordinate by email with the DSC Planning/Replenishment, Transportation, Receiving, and Shipping Teams to identify inventory shortages, prioritize incoming receipts and outgoing shipments to meet the customer sales order requirements.What You Need to Succeed:
3 + years of experience in inventory management, procurement or supply chain management in a manufacturing and logistics environment preferred.Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Outlook, and TeamsWorking knowledge of the AX ERP system (Sales & Marketing, Production Control, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management).Understanding of manufacturing, supply chain and forecasting methodologies and processes. Proficiency in data analysisExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Customer focused and detail orientated.Exceptional attention to detail and project management skills.Understands/implements best practices and has a solid understanding of warehouse, manufacturing, and service processes.Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, changing and setting priorities, and resolving conflict.Why Work for Us?
