This position has been designated as On-Site.  

Trane Technologies is hiring a Production Planner in Newberry, SC. In this role, you will, establish, manage, and maintain the production schedule for a selected group of products. Act as single point of contact of the plant for all customer accounts, managing the entire order life cycle to ensure orders are processed on time, collaborate with other functional teams to ensure customer’s expectations and requirements are met. The position reports to the Master Scheduler.

Responsibilities:

Establishes production manufacturing priorities for the customer demands consistent with master scheduling requirements, inventory objectives, and service level goals.Perform order entry for configure to order business model and Complete order closure and invoicing activity when orders are shippedReconciles all order discrepancies and order changes.Communicates with customers, sales offices, engineering, purchasing, operations and marketing to ensure customer priorities are met and leverage common processes, tools, and information systems.Assists in the development of weekly and monthly metrics, which include on-time shipment %, productivity, shipment goals, past due backlog, and assembly production.Request support from the next appropriate level of customer support for complex escalations/ issues providing documentation throughout the process.Establish and communicate revised production schedules based on weekly PSI meetingsManage rejected and rework product/ order planning, rescheduling and invoicingCoordinates manufacturing activities and monitors schedule performance against plan.Participate in customer service-related projects such as Strategy A3, Projects & MDI (daily meetings).Assist in and support the development of process improvements and continuous learning.Other duties as assigned by master scheduler.

Qualifications:

Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred or 4+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree. High school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or customer service.Experience with production scheduling a strong plusAPICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.Must have the ability to identify problems, create solutions, and make recommendations.

Key Competencies:

Ability to effectively make decisions with limited time and information and determine decision making criteria based on priorities.Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments. Very detail-oriented, pays close attention to all the small particulars when working on tasks or projects.  Strong analytical capabilities, personal skills and independent problem resolution.Data access/retrieval skills with experience in data analysis, data manipulation using MS Excel and/or other tools as provided. As well as, working knowledge of ERP system.
