The Production Planner I is responsible for coordinating production schedules, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring the timely delivery of products. This role requires close collaboration with various teams to optimize production efficiency and meet customer demands. Success in this role depends on attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
This position may require occasional travel and after-hours review of production plans.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Production Scheduling:
Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, resource and material availability, and production capacity.Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to prevent shortages or overstock. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of materials and maintain safety stock levels. Order raw materials for specific business units as required.Coordination:
Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to coordinate activities, resolve scheduling conflicts, and ensure timely product delivery.Data Analysis:
Analyze production data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize production plans. Use insights to drive informed decision-making and improve production efficiency.Communication:
Communicate production schedules, priorities, and updates to relevant stakeholders. Address and resolve any issues that arise in production plans.Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance production efficiency. Implement best practices to optimize workflows and reduce costs.Quality Assurance:
Collaborate with operations and quality control teams to ensure production plans meet quality requirements. Monitor items on hold and work towards timely resolution.Master Data Maintenance:
Perform basic master data updates as required by team standards.Project Assignments:
Contribute to minor project work as assigned.Metrics Management:
Understand and monitor business unit metrics and targets.Other Duties:

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, or a related field APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP)Working Conditions:
Office environment with occasional plant visits (PPE provided) Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (40+ hours per week) Availability to address management or departmental inquiries during business hours Occasional evening and weekend work as needed
