What impact you’ll make
In the position of Production Planner, as a member of the Supply Chain team, within the Planning team, your role will be to guarantee a lean and continuous production process, supporting the manufacturing team and ensuring on time deliveries in accordance with the values of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
What you’ll do
Evaluate new projects and their deliverables and develop production orders and/or similar tools in conjunction with the Planning Team to ensure that the entire project scope is captured and executed.
Review existing production orders and/or similar tools whenever necessary as a result of project scope changes.
Confirm the write-off and closure of all materials and services within the projects structure in the ERP system before their final closure to ensure that all costs have been accounted for and allocated
Map and control the availability of all consumables needed for the manufacturing process, ensuring minimum stock and immediate availability.
Participate in weekly meetings with Project Managers in order to provide material delivery status, check deadlines and critical points throughout the project progress.
Work together with the stockroom personnel to ensure the accurate shipment of components for assembly.
Work together with the Sourcing team to identify improvements and opportunities for suppliers and/or supply processes related to consumables.
Control the time vouchering of assembly partners, create purchase requisitions and request purchase orders.
Support assembly partners and other suppliers with payment processes in relation to billing instructions, monitoring of payment processes and constant feedback on payment status.
Identify, quote and create purchase requisitions for all services needed to support the manufacturing processes such as (but not limited to): assembly services, packing and crating services, freight services, equipment rental, forklift rental, etc.
Identify, quote and create purchase requisitions for all tooling required during the manufacturing process.
Request, within the scope of manufacturing and facilities, the registration of new suppliers and/or extension of existing ones.
Request, within the scope of manufacturing and facilities, the issuance of new part numbers whenever necessary.
Support the Facilities team in terms of identifying suppliers, requesting quotes, creating purchase requisitions and monitoring payment processes.
Analyze and treat cases of blocked payments in GE Vernova’s internal payment system (“CORA”).
Work together with the Manufacturing Manager to identify and maintain production KPIs.
Work together with the Manufacturing Manager and Planning Leader to constantly implement improvements and lean manufacturing processes.
Identify opportunities for improvement.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
Engineering bachelor’s degree
Strong experience working within production, engineering and/or project management areas
Some experience working directly with production and facilities areas focused on products, services and suppliers for the manufacturing and assembly of control panels
Advanced and proved experience with ERP System - SAP®
Advanced and proved experience with Office including MS Project.
Intermediary/advanced English skills
