Production Planner
Job Title: Production Planner Job Description Provide tactical and strategic oversight to the warehouse and inventory control. Initiate LEAN Manufacturing practices by analyzing trend information and recommending areas of focus. Review and monitor production variances. Hold weekly planning/scheduling meetings with production support to assure productivity and delivery metrics are achieved. Support the development and achievement of KPI's that deliver results for Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery. KPI's will encompass OTD, past dues, yield, cost of scrap, labor efficiency, safety, achieving 3rd Day sales target, etc. Become BAC ERP (NetSuite) superuser and 'go to' for resolving low-level system issues. Maintain ERP system with production schedule and forecast. Set standards and monitor staff performance, provide performance feedback, write and conduct appraisals, recommend merit increases and promotions, hold direct reports accountable to policies and performance throughout the year. Responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates to optimize performance and their personal and professional growth. Manage assigned projects, working cross-functionally to identify changes and required resources to obtain objectives. Plans, updates, and monitors manufacturing schedules, establishing delivery dates and coordinating activity throughout the operation to support the master schedule including tooling and material requirements. Assist with monitoring of materials inventory to effectively determine needs based on production schedules, execute cycle counts and assist Finance/Accounting. Maintaining a constant awareness of capacity constraints, material arrival, customer demand changes and quality issues; adjust and communicate schedule changes accordingly. Own on-time delivery and create the most effective schedule possible. Create and release travelers to the production floor as required. Essential Skills + Two to three years of Planning and Scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment. + 2-3 years' experience with ERP systems (NetSuite ERP preferred). + Experience managing direct reports. + Solid understanding of Planning and Scheduling methodologies (forecasts, safety stocks, replenishment strategies, inventory optimization, lead time reduction, Kanban, etc.). + General understanding of Lean Management. + Proficiency with data analytics, databases, MS Excel, MS Work, and PowerPoint. + Knowledge and experience of working with an ISO13485 Quality Management System. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Demonstrated success in managing workforce, conflict management, and working in a team environment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $33.65/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
