Planner III

Actively manages customer demand while controlling inventory levels. Utilizes active problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement and can influence laterally, upwards and across departments.  

  

Demand Management/ Production Planning  

Demonstrate working knowledge of current demand & incoming supply.   Ability to manage capacity within building and facilitate cross functional capacity discussions.   Responsible for the creation of work orders and ensuring material flow.  Maintains build-plan accuracy and shipment forecast.  Proactively identifies risk to customer requirements and communicates effectively.  Identifies and reduces risk of material stockouts.  Ensure demand signals are accurate and timely.   Management of multiple projects including successful master scheduling of new jobs, maintaining current jobs and successfully closing out of completed jobs. 
 
 

Inventory Management  

Owns management of inventory replenishment system within area of responsibility, familiar with multiple methods of replenishment.   Responsible for identifying inventory reduction opportunities and tracking of savings.   Identify transactional issues.   Monitor gaps in expiration process  Actions and supports excess & obsolete discussions. 
 
 

Daily Management  

Participates in daily management and tracks required KPIs.   Identify & participate in problem solving of related supply chain metrics.   Maintain tracking of work order timings.  

 

Continuous Improvement  

Understanding of Fortive Business Systems (FBS) tools.  Participate in various continuous improvement events.  Comply to existing work instructions documents or participate in creation of new documentation where needed.  

 

Cross Functional Collaboration  

Effectively communicate cross functional with team members and building support staff.   Participate and provide feedback through SIOP processes.   Participate in engineering change activities.
