Primary Responsibilities Responsible for the coordination of Engineering Orders to provide a smooth implementation of the change and to best use inventory stocks when possible. Process special orders, verifying the availability or need for parts, manufactured or purchased, and relaying the information to the appropriate departments.

Analyze and evaluate part requirements and correct MRP if projections are inconsistent. Verify the availability or need for parts, manufactured or purchased, and relaying the information to the appropriate departments. Resolve issues that arise from the transformation of the MPS into the material plan and then into the final assembly schedule, which could prevent meeting 100% due date performance. Process daily shop floor packets for distribution to the appropriate departments and run reports to determine any overdue orders.

Setting up of work schedules for the work centers by collecting data from shop floor control, evaluating capacity levels and prioritize the work load to best complete each job in a timely and cost effective manner while maintaining stock levels. 

Set all item data codes for new manufactured parts and submit information to Cost Accounting to determine cost.

Participate in assigned projects with manufacturing engineering production management and production control to improve manufacturing processes.  Perform other duties as assigned. 

                       

Qualifications

 

A four-year college degree in Supply Chain, Business/ Operations Management or equivalent work experience is preferred.  Must be familiar with and able to use software systems, such as SAP/ Crown 360 for MRP,
