Summary/Objective
This role is responsible to plan, prepare and monitor productions plans across various production areas as well as coordinate with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet customer demand.
Essential FunctionsConfirms material supply and demand utilizing customer contract, forecast, internal intermediates and inventory demand reports.Work closely with procurement to provide product data for future and current raw material needs.Evaluate current inventory to assist with product development, production scheduling, and maintaining inventory volumes and define inventory levelsCreate a production plan for production based on customer needs and defined production planning strategiesCommunicate delays and related impacts as well as identify / align corrective actionsAlign with production needed capacities to fulfill production planCommunicate fluctuations in demand to relevant areas and help to ensure the availability of goods.Coordinates interdepartmental activity with Quality Control, Manufacturing, Procurement, Inventory Control, Sales, CSR and Logistics.Assist when needed on work order issuance, formulations and F&F lab support.Prepare daily report regarding status of outstanding production orders in planning to manager and well as other reports requested by manager.Follow all Lab and Site safety and GMP rules. Maintain work area in a neat and organized manner and complete all paperwork correctly.
Physical DemandsThe employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 35 pounds.Standing, walking, sitting, and manual dexterity are also required.
Required Education and ExperienceB.S. in Chemistry, Food Science or related science or equivalent work experienceMinimum of three (3) years production planning experience in the citrus, food or processing industriesExperience with production planning software (SAP PP-PI or other systems)Technical knowledge of citrus oils preferred or comparable process industry Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skillsProject management skillsWorking knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and OutlookProven track record in problem solving and creative thinkingAbility to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment; flexible with moving targets and deadlinesMust be a self-starter and able to interact with a variety of departments
