Production Planning Analyst I

Overview

Responsible for managing supply chain responsibilities and coordinating manufacturing and purchasing activities that achieves prescribed schedules and within quality standards required to maintain and improve competitive position and profitability          

                                                             

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Plans and distributes work orders to support manufactured items and ensures customer demand is met on schedule using Material Requirement Plan (MRP) and Resource Leveling methodologies                                  Assists in managing product lines to ensure alignment of raw materials and production capabilities, rescheduling existing demand to accommodate new demand and changes through the manufacturing processAssist product lines to ensure alignment of raw materials and production capabilities, rescheduling existing demand to accommodate new demand and changes through the manufacturing process              Assists defining KANBAN levels and procedures (internally and with Procurement for Suppliers)   Plans demand in accordance with client or Field Service Operations requirements and works to ensure demand is met through the entire order lifecycle                                 Ensures customer demand is met on schedule using MRP and Resource Leveling methodologiesProcesses new sales order demand and commits promise dates to customer orders.                              Responsible for management of planning parameters, safety stocks, lead times and order release to invoice payment cycle                                   Works as the interface with engineering, customer service, planning, manufacturing engineering and suppliers to manage and facilitate communication and problem solving as well as support the needs of these internal customers   Collaborate with floor supervisors to ensure the most efficient use of manufacturing resources Prepares RFQ’s and evaluates vendor quotes to determine most desirable suppliers Issues Purchase Orders and ensures accurate and timely delivery (Expediting, discussions with suppliers.) Alerts Senior planner and buyer of any discrepancies, in meeting the current promised delivery dateEnsures NCR and CAPA procedures are followed to completion ​Maintains strong emphasis on customer satisfaction throughout the decision-making process, ensuring timely fulfillment of all requirements in alignment with the quality system's standards.Manages VMI contracts and provides recommendations relating to VMI partsLooks for opportunities to assist or champion improvement activities within the team                        

Experience

Associate's degree in business field preferred, 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or inventory schedulingManufacturing inventory scheduling and/or inventory purchasingProject ManagementUtilization of Inventory and Supply management methodologies

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to understand constraints, critical path analysis and risk mitigationReading engineering drawings and understanding the technical requirements detailed in specificationsPromotes positive team dynamics to ensure high performance Enjoys fast-paced, Radically Responsive work environment.Excellent ability to efficiently prioritize tasks,Excellent verbal and written communicationIntermediate Material Requirement Plan (MRP) systems
