Job Description
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Production Planning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and managing production schedules, coordinating with various manufacturing departments, and ensuring the smooth flow of vehicles through the production process. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a thorough understanding of production control and scheduling processes.
ResponsibilitiesOrganize and manage paperwork, storage, and email communication.Create production schedules in Excel and input them into planning tools.Work with various manufacturing departments to generate production schedules for pre-series (future model year) cars.Follow vehicles through the production process.Handle detailed paperwork and processes to prepare completed units for shipment, including shipping bill of lading, Hazmat, and Customs paperwork.Adhere to QMS standards and standard working procedures.Follow standard workflow processes for step-by-step shipping guidance.Coordinate with 3PL (third-party logistics) companies to arrange unit pickups.Handle paperwork and drive vehicles to meet carriers.Essential Skills0-1 years of experience in program planning and production scheduling.0-1 years of experience in production control, production flow/processes, and master scheduling.0-1 years of manufacturing experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in Microsoft Office and presentation.Coordination with logistics.Work Environment
This role is based in an office environment and involves coordination with manufacturing and logistics teams.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
