Production Planning Manager

The Production Planning Manager is an integral part of the operations with a strong emphasis on Evenflo.  This position will work closely with the operations team and assist the Vice President of Operations with managing the community start up process related to permits, to ensure permits meet or exceed business plans, and manage the pre-constuction process.  The Production Planning Manager will maintain build templates, oversee construction scheduling/re-scheduling, monitor divisions business plan timely cadencing of starts, monitor trade partner resource levels and identify additional obstacles as presented.

Responsibilities will include:

o Management of the community start up, backlog and starts processes to meet or exceed exceed business plan.
o Manage the pre-construction process.
o Direct the issuance of permit process to ensure permits are received to meet or exceed planning goals. 
o Assist in the development of contract, start and delivery projections.
o Manage construction starts process for all home production starts.
o Maintain sales contract slotting profiles and slotting schedules.
o Conduct Template building sessions with Divisional Production Managers as required.
o Set up and maintain templates for new and established communities.
o Work with Production Managers to ensure accurate and timely entry of data in the pre-start schedule.
o Work with operations and purchasing along with vendors to eliminate inefficiencies and production bottlenecks identified at the root cause level.
o Train internal and external partners on Build Pro/Supply Pro processes and procedures.
o Partner with Operations and Purchasing Departments communicating potential obstacles to business plan.
o Conduct random community inspections to perform schedule validation.
o Resolve BuildPro scheduling and payment issues as required.
o Maintain BuildPro database by performing all user set-up, managing templates, schedules, job status and other database requirements as required.

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and 3-5 years of experience with homebuilding construction. BuildPro usage of 1-2 years preferred.  Successful candidate must maintain a valid driver's license.
