Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel – Arkansas is seeking applicants for the position of Production Planning Supervisor.  The role of the Production Planning Supervisor includes, but is not limited to:

Establishing a culture of safety awareness, team development, quality production, and continuous improvement. Leading and setting direction for production planning, scheduling, inventory management and shipment targets. Leading an effective strategy incorporating all departments to achieve the short term and long-term production and shipment goals of the division through a team oriented and cooperative approach. Acting as a resource coordinating hot side production to meet shipping targets, cold side work in progress inventory and on-time delivery. Leading division efforts to continually improve our safety, team member development and profitability. Promoting a culture of ownership, engagement and teamwork working with other departments to ensure consistency and long-term success of the division.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications: Experience in supply chain management, production planning, or scheduling Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering.
