Communicate standards of excellence in the daily work assignments of assigned team, in order to meet safe production as outlined by Management. Standards should be communicated through stated goals, daily interaction, Team meetings, provide input on employee performance evaluations, and recommend disciplinary actions.   ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESPerform standard office duties, plant duties and operate mobile equipmentEstablish and maintain effective communications within all areas of the operationBe responsible for scheduling and organizing employees to accomplish production operationsPlan and conduct daily safety / operational meetings with employees under your supervisionPerform annual performance evaluations on team membersMust make regular inspections for safety, housekeeping and mechanical issues in all areas of the operationImplement and apply all safety rules, regulations and procedures of mine and property as set forth by federal, state, local agencies & policiesWork closely with management to insure implementation of scheduled maintenance on all equipmentParticipate in the plant safety committeeEncourage employees to participate in Guardian Angel activitiesAssist management in developing mining plans, profit plans, AFE'S, and monthly forecastDemonstrate a positive, upbeat attitude and energy level toward teammates, peers, and customersComplete daily production, safety and maintenance reports accuratelyResponsible for maintaining quality of all productsMaintain housekeeping and appearance standards as establishedAssist with equipment repairs and housekeeping as neededOther duties as requested Preferred Education and ExperienceMinimum 3 to 5 years+ experience preferably in aggregates industryMinimum of 1 year supervisory or leadership experienceHigh School Diploma or GED preferredMust maintain a valid driver's license Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesEffective coordination and communication skills (written and verbal)Understand team based managementSelf-starter with ability to work with little or no supervisionStrong mechanical knowledgeAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to travel long distance by car or other commercial means, overnight at timesMust be able to work irregular shifts and weekends as requiredPhysical RequirementsMust be able to perform duties in a safe manner.  This job requires the ability to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots and hearing protectionAbility to operate hand levers, foot pedals and steering wheelMust have hand-eye coordination and vision to safely operate mobile equipmentMust be able to climb stairs to a height of 100 ft. and work at this heightMust be able to work in confined spacesAbility to operate radio, CB radio, computer and other equipment as requiredMust be able to bend, stoop, climb and reach around all areas of equipmentLift up to 75 lbsMust be able to walk across steep/rough terrain.Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.WORKING CONDITIONS Larger equipment is typically air conditioned.  There will be times when outside assignments may require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry and dusty.  Must be able to work in areas where noise levels are up to 85 dbs. DISCLAIMER The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
