Monitor employee’s performance to ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed and adhered.Implement and assign work schedules to maximize the utilization of manpower, machines, and equipmentDefines expected production standards, and monitors performance standards of the assigned personnelObserves personnel to ensure the proper operation of assigned work and equipmentEnsures inspection checks and quality assurance occurs to produce high quality productsPromote a continuous productivity improvement climate that encourages suggestions for operational improvementAdministers and supports company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent mannerTrains new employees about divisional and organizational activities and safety policies and proceduresPrepares daily time sheets for hourly employees, production summaries, overtime and downtime reportsWhat it takes
Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): Two years of experience in supervisory or management position with a proven record of strong leadership capabilities (excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills)The ability to recognize hazardous substance and to know basic employee responsibilities for chemical safetyThe ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manualsThe ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issuesThe ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive mannerMust be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional resultsHighly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:
Five years of experience in a supervisory or management positionSteel Industry Experience a plusStrong leadership skills and the ability to support divisional business objectivesThe ability to calculate figures such as pay changes for employees, proportions and percentages, and product dimensionsA strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft OutlookBenefits
