Production Sorter

Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Production Supervisor

The purpose of this position is to process and assign a value to all "Miscel" (miscellaneous) items and then roll to the sales floor and merchandise appropriately in the department.

Responsibilities and duties:

Inspects donated items to determine if they are sellableTrashes or recycles items that are not deemed sellableUses condition and quality assessments to assign a valueCreates a price tag in the tablet system based upon quality, condition, brand, seasonality and trendsRolls items from the production room to the sales floor multiple times dailyMaintains a clean and organized work stationRegularly meets the production goals of the position as outlined by the companyFollows all safety guidelines and proceduresProvides friendly and courteous service in all interactions with customers

Required Skills and Abilities

Must be able to read, write and communicate with other team membersMust demonstrate an attention to detail and keep records as requiredGood eye-hand coordination to sort, grasp, price and put out.

Lifting and carrying 20 lbs.Reaching overhead 20% of timePushing and pulling 4-6 lbs. of force (to push/pull up to 100 lbs. rolling rack)Pushing and pulling 50% of timeStanding 100% of timeRepetitive use of hands 70% of timeBending and crouching 20% of timeGrasping items with hands 100% of time

Education and Experience:

High School Degree, GED or equivalent work experiences.
