**Job Title: Production Specialist** **Job Description** Production specialists are tasked with refurbishing and refilling propane tanks. Responsibilities include various stages of the process, such as washer functions, dispatching, shotblasting, weight entry, capping, stacking, and conducting regular quality checks. The role requires physical labor and the ability to work in various weather conditions. **Responsibilities** + Operate washer functions by placing tanks on the conveyor belt and sorting them into 'acceptable' and 'needs work' piles. + Remove sleeves and peel labels from tanks. + Transport rusty, dented, or tanks needing paint touch-ups to the proper locations manually. + Train on shotblasting, weight entry, capping (labeling), and stacking (palletizing) after mastering washer functions and dispatch. + Contribute to stacking completed tanks for departure. + Perform regular quality checks to ensure tanks have no leaks, weight issues, sleeve issues, or paint issues. **Essential Skills** + Ability to lift 35-65lbs repetitively throughout the shift. + Willingness to work in various weather conditions. + Comfortable working in a mix of indoor and outdoor environments. + Ability to carry one tank per hand regularly throughout the shift (17lbs for empty tanks and 33lbs for full tanks). + No previous experience required. **Shift & Pay** + 1st shift: Monday - Thursday 6AM-4:30PM // **$17.50** + 2nd shift: Monday - Thursday 6PM-4:30AM // **$18.50** **Why Work Here?** This is a temporary part-time position with the opportunity to quickly earn a full-time role based on reliable attendance and performance. It can be very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer, as the facility is not climate-controlled. Employees work Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday from 6AM-4:30PM or 6PM-4:30AM. New hires start with 20 hours per week and can earn up to 40 hours with some optional overtime when they transition to full-time. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided, but employees must bring their own steel-toe shoes. Relatives cannot work on the same shift. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position 20 minutes North of Kokomo, Indiana. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.50/hr.
