Our pioneering technology spans the world of healthcare operations — with medical diagnostic instruments, tests, automation and informatics solutions for hospitals, reference labs, blood centers, emergency departments, physician offices and clinics. **The Opportunity** We have an opportunity for **Production Specialist II** based in **Scarborough, ME.** In this role, you will perform the work required for the assembly of components, devices, and/or the final product depending on the trade assigned. **WHAT YOU’LL DO** + • Provide support to Division Classic Manufacturing Operations.•This may involve various unique set-ups, trouble-shooting, and preparation of equipment and processes.• Production set-ups, troubleshooting, corrective actions, and potential machine reassembly of equipment and/or processes.• Required to follow written directions such as complex blueprints or package drawings.• Works with a limited range of equipment.• Follows safe work procedures and practices.• Assembly support of CMO operations utilizing semi-automated and automated equipment.• Employee is responsible for product inspection, work order documentation, equipment set up and minor equipment adjustment.• Assists with the set up and close out of work orders on production lines including beginning and end of lot line clearances.• Responsible for the movement of commodities, components and final product to and from lines as well as accurate completion of workorders and associated documentation.• Review and audit in-process and completed work order packets for accurate and complete data entry, and proper documentation practices.• Recognizes problems which occur during the assembly process and takes or initiates corrective action.• Operates within well defined operating procedures and respective departmental standards.• Escalates significant problems to the appropriate level of personnel. **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING** + High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience. + 1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. + Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of GMP and how it applies to specific responsibilities and manufacturing operations. + Ability to perform multiple job duties simultaneously and with moderate supervisory input. + Ability to read and comprehend written work order instructions. + Cross-certification in two or more CMO production areas is required. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** + Demonstrated knowledge and/or understanding of medical device manufacturing. + Prior Machine Operation experience in a manufacturing environment. **WHAT WE OFFER** + At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
