Position Title: Production Stage Crew, Student Assistant Requisition Number: 0406073461 Location New York City Position Type: Student Department: Drama/Productions Responsibilities: The Production Department at the College of Performing Arts seeks a highly motivated student to serve as Stage Crew, Student Assistant. We’re looking for self-starting and motivated individual(s) to support initiatives for the Theater and Opera Productions. This position reports to the Production Manager of the Project,  and is an ideal position for students who are interested in a career in Stage Management, Production Management, and/or Arts Management.This position is hired on a per-project basis.
This position is open to student applicants with Federal Work Study awards and student applicants without a Federal Work Study award.

Work Mode: On-Campus Position
Hourly Rate: $17/hr
Hours per Week: 20 max
Responsibilities: Report directly to the Production Stage Manager, and Full Time Production Manager.  Supervise any and all production assistants, backstage crew, and deckhands during tech and performances. Responsible for working with the Production Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager on the setup and breakdown of rehearsal rooms, the running of rehearsals, and communicating with directors/designers/and production staff on the needs of productions. Required to attend rehearsals and technical rehearsals.  Conflicts may be approved. Directly responsible for prop and costume tracking, backstage run sheets, and blocking notation as well as any other duties assigned by PSM or PM. Rehearsal props or related items may need to be transported, set up, and struck each rehearsal session. (If applicable) Coordinate with non-union/union staff at rental venues for any show crew needs.
