**Job Title: Production Supervisor | $70K/YR | 2nd Shift** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Supervisor to join our team. This role is on the 2nd shift, from 2pm-10pm, with an opportunity to transition from a contract to a permanent position within six months. The ideal candidate will have experience in production management and supervision, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and quality. **Responsibilities** + Ensure timely and efficient equipment set-ups, changeovers, and start-ups to minimize production delays. + Accurately and promptly report daily production, including labor and materials used. + Routinely monitor production effectiveness for quality and quantity, taking aggressive actions to minimize downtime and excessive spoilage. + Work with other departments to solve problems and promote cooperation in support of objectives. + Promote facility, equipment, and employee safety, including reporting problems, conditions, and hazards that cannot be immediately corrected. + Evaluate employee effectiveness and determine individual needs for improvement; issue disciplinary action as appropriate, recommend merit increases, and recommend hiring and discharging actions to the production manager. + Enforce company policies. + Perform a variety of tasks as necessary to support production objectives in the absence of personnel normally assigned to accomplish those tasks. + Perform special projects as requested. + Assist in the development of new products, processes, and materials. + Assist in developing, refining, and writing procedures, forms, and work instructions. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of supervisory experience. + High School diploma or equivalent. + Aptitude for running and understanding automated, mechanical equipment, and demonstrated mechanical reasoning. + Ability to oversee and supervise the activities of a team. + Demonstrated capacity to work with a team to deliver a high degree of productivity. + Works by, and supports, productions' Standard Operating Procedures. + Reliable, dependable, and flexible with a 'team player' mentality. + Willingness to speak up and review problems with the Manager to determine the best course of action, offering suggestions and providing clear communication of the problem. + Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills to be effective. + Able to lead and manage teams, maintaining a high level of morale and discipline. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Attention to detail. + Computer skills. + Knowledge of safety protocols. + Experience with lean manufacturing. + Strong industrial and management skills. **Why Work Here?** Our company is focused on innovation and disruption in the market.
