Pactiv Bedford Park is a leading Extrusion/Injection Molding facility that produces plates, straws, cutlery, and wrapped cutlery kits for the food service industry. Built in 1974, our facility has 195,000 total square footage. We host 90 machines including Injection Molding, Extrusion, and Automated Robotic instruments. We produce approximately 75 million pounds annually and over 400,000 SKUs. We employ over 500 full-time and temporary employees who have helped us attain numerous awards including Quality Performer of the year and Safety Excellence.
Responsibilities3rd Shift Production Supervisor Duties:
Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining qualityTypically supervises 50 plus employeesCoordinate with Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achievedCarry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring & training employeesPlanning, assigning & directing workAppraising performanceRewarding & disciplining employeesAddressing complaints & resolving problemsEnsure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basisSupport & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goalsEnsures safety programs are implemented effectively, reviewed regularly and revised as necessary QualificationsJob Qualifications:
BA/BS degree preferred (business, engineering)2+ years of manufacturing experienceSupervisory experience preferredWilling and able to work 7pm-7am on a 2-2-3 scheduleGood verbal & interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work well in group situationsAbility to deal effectively with conflict in mature & consistent mannerGood computer skillsSAP experience preferredPactiv Evergreen is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
