ABOUT THE POSTION:
We are seeking a motivated Production Supervisor to join our business. The Production Supervisor oversees the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely delivery of materials, product and services to the Triple-S Steel customers in their territory. This role ensures Workplace Health and Safety requirements are met and maintained according to Federal, State and Local laws, along with all company issued training.
The Production Supervisor is accountable and responsible for the security of the assets in the office and warehouse, and is responsible for the regular audit and inventory of materials. He/she is also responsible for the repair, maintenance and upkeep of the Physical Building and Grounds, utilizing the Vendors approved by the company. The Production Supervisor is responsible for local Quality Assurance activities, logistics, procurement of Operating Supplies, and training of employees.

Responsibilities Maintains receiving, shipping, Inventory Control and Production Work Cells by installing, coordinating, and enforcing departmental programs and Operational Work Instructions and procedures. Controls Scrap, Inventory Levels and accuracy by overseeing physical ‘cycle counts’ and reconciling with perpetual Inventory records. Recruits, orients, plans, and trains staff as well as monitors employee performance. Achieves Branch Financial Objectives by minimizing costs, O/T, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and installing ‘financial checks and balances’. Assures Sales Orders are issued, picked, processed, shipped and invoiced in a timely fashion. Develops Vendor Evaluation criteria and regularly reviews Vendors for adherence. Maintains warehouse & logistics operations, equipment, capacities and capabilities by Production Planning and Measurement, routine inspection and repair of in-house machinery and equipment, and the regular review of warehouse layout and throughput. Interacts with various customers, vendors, and service providers in the best interest of the company. Qualifications Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years Equivalent Work experience in a Service Center with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.A College Degree is preferred. MSDS experience is a plus.Excellent Verbal communication skills are a must. Solid Computer, MS OFFICE Skills are a must.Strong Organization skills, and follow up skills are very practical.
