Production Supervisor
Under general supervision of the Production Manager and Director of Operations, directs and supervises all production personnel. Coordinates directly with Production Control on schedule issues, with Manufacturing Engineering on technical issues, and with Quality Assurance on quality issues to meet the cost, quality, and delivery objectives of the Production Department. Prepares and analyzes necessary reports to monitor and evaluate performance of the group and of individual associates to attain and maintain performance levels. Ensures that safety programs are fully enforced. Ensures that production schedules are met. Ensures that production procedures are followed. Ensures that quality standards are implemented.

Key Responsibilities

•           Monitors associate performance, prepares performance reviews, and handles disciplinary issues

•           Assigns work in accordance with production schedules

•           Directs the activities of production lead associates

•           Directs the fabrication of prototypes, tooling, jigs, and fixtures in support of Manufacturing Engineer

•           Implements preventive maintenance and safety programs in support of the Facilities Manager

•           Reviews and approves all personnel activities for the production group

•           Plans and implements training programs for all production personnel and keeps records of training

•           Enforces safety and quality programs within production

•           Directs the activities of the metrology lead associate

•           Other duties as required

Educational Requirements

       

•           High School Diploma or GED

•           Associate degree in a science field or its equivalent in directly related experience

Desired Background and Skill Requirements

•           An additional 5 years in directly related manufacturing experience

•           Proficient in SyteLine or other ERP user

•           Proficient in Microsoft Office

•           Must have excellent people skills and strong history of leadership

•           Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders

•           Proficient in all aspects of manufacturing operations and related processes

•           Must have ability to obtain The Company qualification/certification(s) as required

•           Physical requirements may include lifting to 50 pounds

•           Must be able to work effectively in a team environment

•           Lives the “continuous improvement” philosophy; develops and adopts new ideas and concepts
