Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in the meat industry in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meat production and a proven track record of successfully leading a production team.
Responsibilities:
– Supervise and lead a team of production workers to ensure efficient and safe production operations
– Monitor and report on production metrics, including yield, quality, and efficiency
– Maintain and enforce strict adherence to food safety and quality standards
– Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance and logistics, to ensure smooth production flow
– Train and develop production staff to improve skills and performance
– Conduct regular inspections of the production area to identify and resolve any issues
– Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to production processes
– Collaborate with management to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
Requirements:
– Minimum of 3 years experience in a production supervisory role in the meat industry
– Knowledge of meat processing and production techniques
– Strong leadership and communication skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
– Understanding of food safety regulations and compliance requirements
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software
– High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in meat processing a plus
