Production Supervisor
**Job Title: Production Supervisor** **Job Description** Provides direct supervision of operators. Trains new employees and provides regular feedback regarding performance. Responsible for providing ongoing coaching to help operators improve performance. **Responsibilities** + Ensure new employees complete Quality Assurance orientation and all current employees complete annual training, including allergens, hygiene, safety, sanitation, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and good manufacturing practice (GMP) required for the position. + Train new employees to properly perform tasks and complete recipes. + Provide regular feedback regarding operators' performance, recognizing excellence and areas needing improvement. + Provide coaching to operators who need additional help to improve performance. + Check daily schedule and oversee preparation of workstation in accordance with assigned recipe, including assembling all materials and equipment. + Verify raw materials, partially prepped food, and completed food meet approved quality standards. + Report quality problems to Production Manager and/or QA immediately. + Verify equipment works correctly at the beginning, during, and end of shift. Report any problems. + Ensure workstation procedures, including accurately measuring/weighing raw and prepared food, are followed. + Verify procedures for storing prepared food items (raw and/or cooked) for the next step in the sous vide cooking process are followed. + Ensure approved sanitation policies concerning temperature control, cross-contamination, food preparation, and cleanup are followed. + Ensure all safety policies, including proper use of knives, grills, ovens, searing and other food preparation equipment, and packaging equipment, are followed. + Assist operators in performing procedures for a recipe if needed to train/coach an employee or if the volume of work requires. + Follow detailed instructions. **Essential Skills** + 1 year of work experience required in a culinary/food manufacturing environment and at least 6 months as a Shift Leader. + Ability to train, explain, and answer questions regarding recipes, proper procedures, and measurement techniques to employees. + Ability to identify errors such as improper procedures, scaling, hygiene, sanitation, and safety. + Ability to provide feedback to employees and provide ongoing coaching to ensure that corrections have been made. + Critical attention to detail. + Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English. + Excellent listening skills. + Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred. + Interacts with other employees within the company. + Rarely communicates with external vendors, delivery personnel, or customers. **Why Work Here?** Join a supportive and dynamic team that values continuous improvement and employee development. Shifts run from 6am - 4pm, 3pm - 1am, and 10pm - 8am. Plan to work a 10-hour day, with the possibility of an 8-hour day when operations are running smoothly.
