Production Supervisor
Role Summary
Our client seeks a Production Supervisor to join their team. The Production Supervisor plays a vital role in leading and directing the daily operations within a specific production area. They will oversee a team of operators and support staff, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining quality standards all while meeting customer delivery commitments.
Key Results Area
+ Provide guidance, direction, and mentorship to a team of operators and support staff
+ Conducts performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and development opportunities
+ Works with internal departments to schedule work on equipment to meet delivery dates
+ Assigns tasks, implements schedules, and ensures adequate staffing levels
+ Plans, directs, and coordinates all manufacturing activities with the department
+ Prioritizes work orders to meet deadlines, ensures compliance with all scheduling demands and postal regulations, and monitors and controls labor costs
+ Ensures operators perform quality checks and are following Standard Operating Procedures, and implements and enforces quality standards within the production area
+ Communicates effectively with peers, management, and employees to drive improvements
+ Engages in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and streamline workflow
+ Monitors and enforces safety protocols and regulations within the production area
Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent is required
+ Prior experience working in a production or manufacturing environment, with demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience is preferred
+ Possesses a working knowledge of MailShop equipment (inserting, affixing, and converting machines) and be able to operate it when necessary
+ Able to work collaboratively with team members and other departments
+ Working knowledge of Printstream is a plus
+ Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and overtime
+ Physically able to stand, lift 50 lbs., reach, kneel, and bend for extended periods
+ Proactive and adaptable approach to problem solving
+ Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
+ Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
+ Proficient in relevant software applications (Google Suite and Microsoft Excel)
