SUMMARY
The production supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of their plant, including budget, maintenance, quality control, receiving and shipping, and day-to-day operations.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Coordinate within multiple departments through alternative supervisors to maintain safety, quality, and plant production KPI.
• Guide output of first-line production teams, through the management of company standards and KPI to team.
• Maintain a positive and synergistic focus through your staff by showing fairness, consistency, and an interest in employee support.
• Work with alternative departments to report any mechanical, scheduling, or personnel problems that may have significant effects on operations
• Ensure the proper training and fulfillment of plant positions
• Ensure that the inventory of parts and supplies are properly maintained to sustain a continuous operation
• Be Co-Responsible for the upkeep of machinery; coordinate maintenance work with a minimum of downtime through collaboration with alternative departments.
• Develop stronger customer relationships through the collaboration with the internal Sales and Design teams styles or changes needed existing or upcoming orders.
• Provide input for annual budget and capital plan
• Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures, including union contract, safety program, and good housekeeping
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• Six years’ production manufacturing experience within corrugated industry with two years as supervisor within industry preferred.
