Job Description
The Production Supervisor will oversee the production process, ensuring efficiency and quality in all aspects of CNC machining. This hands-on role involves CNC programming, tooling, set-ups, fixture design, training, and occasionally operating machines to fill gaps. The supervisor will collaborate with the Production Scheduling Team to ensure timely deliveries and optimal resource utilization.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with CNC programming, tooling, set-ups, and fixture design.Regularly meet with the Production Scheduling Team to ensure on-time deliveries and efficient resource utilization.Program new jobs, review tooling requirements, design and build fixtures, and oversee set-ups to ensure quality and efficiency.Collaborate with Project Managers to discuss cycle times and tooling requirements for quoting purposes.Review incoming jobs to identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency, processes, and quality.Train less experienced employees and leverage the strengths of more experienced employees.Ensure all department employees properly sign off on routers, inspection reports, and other documentation.Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and general decluttering.Participate in and contribute to employee reviews within the department.Work with department leaders to develop standardization ideas and present them to management.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or GED.5+ years of CNC machining experience with CNC Mill or Lathe.2 years of production supervisor or lead experience.Experience working in a job shop.Proficiency with Mastercam and SolidWorks.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong experience in CNC programming and machining.Experience with continuous improvement processes.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Familiarity with calipers and other precision measuring tools.Production management experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This is a custom machine shop operating as a job shop with a focus on production. The position is a first shift role, Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with potential extended hours until 4:30 pm and occasional Saturdays if needed.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $83200.00
Once direct the company has great benefits: $15 for single plan, $32 for family of two and $45 for a family. They also give a Christmas bonus each year. 11 paid holidays.
