Job Description

As a Production Supervisor for our Fiberon brand, you will be responsible for the management and supervision of your team, motivating and recognizing them to produce our quality cladding and decking products with our customer in mind. You will make sure our production goals are met while focusing on safety, and quality, and creating a culture of continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing and have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in supervision by guiding, teaching, coaching, and mentoring a team of production associates.

This position is in our New London, NC plant and is a night shift position working 7 PM -7 AM on a 2-2-3 shift, meaning you will work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, and off every other weekend.

What you will be doing:

Supervise the activities and associates engaged in the manufacturing of products within their assigned department and shift.Assure key operating metrics are achieved by focusing on safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost, and creating a culture of continuous improvement.Create, maintain, and audit Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and processes.Collaborate with associates, leaders, EH&S, and HR to interpret, apply, and consistently enforce all company policies, programs, regulations, and safety rules.Maintain accurate time and attendance records for manufacturing associates.Promote clean, safe work areas throughout the plant by continuously checking for and resolving hazardous conditions.Identify, support, and guide production associates in continuous improvement activities/initiatives.Develop, guide, and engage manufacturing associates to ensure they have the proper training and support to utilize all equipment and tools.Foster an environment with challenging work, regular coaching, and feedback to manufacturing associates to support and enhance our positive associate relations (PAR) culture.

QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum of 3 years of manufacturing supervisory experienceStrong understanding of how to balance the focus on continuous improvement & quality with safety, health, and environmental business requirements in a manufacturing environment.Strong analytical, problem-solving, delegation, and conflict-resolution skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a continuous manufacturing operation.

Additional Information

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $63,000 USD - $95,700 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.  In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
