If you are passionate about driving production efficiency and developing your team, we want to hear from you! **Position Summary:** The Production Manager will be responsible for managing 4 direct reports and the daily operations of our production facility, with a strong focus on compounding and adhesive formulations. This role requires a hands-on leader who is willing to assist staff and engage directly with production processes. You will play a key role in optimizing production workflows, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring that our equipment and systems run smoothly. **Key Responsibilities:** + Oversee the entire production process, ensuring efficiency and quality at all stages, especially in compounding and adhesive formulation. + Lead, mentor, and manage a team of production staff to achieve operational goals, providing training tailored to compounding techniques and adhesive applications. + Collaborate with the R&D team to implement new adhesive formulations and ensure successful transition from development to production. + Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plant equipment and systems, specifically those used in compounding and mixing processes. + Monitor and maintain adherence to specifications and quality standards for all adhesive products. + Conduct regular inspections of production equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations and company policies. + Analyze production data and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement in compounding processes and overall efficiency. + Implement and maintain best practices in manufacturing operations, advocating for continuous improvement initiatives. + Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely production schedules align with customer demand and inventory levels. **Qualifications:** + 4-5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in adhesives or coatings. + Strong hands-on skills; must be willing to assist staff on the production floor, particularly in mixing and compounding activities. + In-depth knowledge of plant equipment and systems, especially those used in adhesive formulation. + Experience in compounding processes and a solid understanding of adhesive chemistry preferred. + Organizational skills with a proactive and aggressive approach to problem-solving. + Strong leadership capabilities; ability to motivate and develop a diverse team. + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
