**Production Supervisor** **Job Description** Manage, direct, and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining safety and quality. Coach the production team to be accountable for safety, production, quality, equipment, and housekeeping of the department. Coordinate with the Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved. Carry out supervisory responsibilities including planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensure all production data is correctly gathered and reported daily. Support and improve upon quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals. Manage the safety of the department to ensure that the department is safe and that plant goals are met. The East Plant focuses on weight bags/trash bags, while the West Plant produces food storage bags. The facility is heavily automated and employs roughly 800 individuals.
