Production Supervisor
Now Hiring: Production Supervisor

Job Description

The Production Supervisor is required to follow all safety regulations, work rules, and departmental specific requirements. The Production Supervisor will record data either manually or by computer as required. They will examine castings and products at various stages of processing procedures for conformance to both internal and external specifications. The supervisor will observe machines and equipment for malfunctions, order adjustments or repairs, and direct workers to make adjustments or repairs. They will study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for job completion, explain company policies to employees, and ensure compliance with EHS responsibilities. The role involves conducting employee training, practicing incident prevention techniques, facilitating between managers, EHS resources, employees, and conducting self-inspections with verification regarding compliance.

ResponsibilitiesExplain specifications and job orders to workers and assign duties.Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.Maintain time and production records.Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.Establish project plans and coordinate activities for continuous improvement initiatives.Make recommendations for employee status, such as hiring, terminations, and promotions.Resolve grievances and employee relations issues as they arise.Complete performance evaluations and administer employee corrective action.Train and mentor team leaders for their individual development.Comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines, including regular attendance and occasional overtime.Maintain measurement/metrics for departmental performance.Other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsProduction supervisionContinuous improvementProcess improvementSupervisory skillsExperience with team building, leadership, cost reduction/cost analysis, and problem resolutionAbility to read and follow work instructionsDemonstrated leadership abilitiesAdditional Skills & QualificationsMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesVerification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hireVisa sponsorship is not available for this positionThis position is subject to ITAR regulations which requires U.S. person statusWhy Work Here?

Non-climate controlled, dirty manufacturing environment. Day shift, Monday to Friday with a good amount of overtime. Safety and production supervision required.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00
