**Job Title: Production Supervisor** **Job Description** We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to maintain high visibility with production staff, develop a high-performance team, and create a respectful work environment. You will be responsible for managing production schedules, leading daily meetings, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement through lean principles. **Responsibilities** + Maintain high visibility with production staff and use a hands-on approach to communicate daily goals. + Develop a high-performance work team with high levels of morale, satisfaction, and performance. + Create and maintain a respectful work environment by listening, seeking facts to support decisions, and addressing unacceptable behavior. + Help production staff improve and develop through performance management, coaching, and performance communication. + Collaborate with workforce to create individual development plans. + Review production schedules to identify and resolve problems. + Identify future pain points in the schedule and mitigate them prior to hitting the shop floor. + Lead daily fast-response meetings. + Ensure desired product quality levels are achieved through standard work and training. + Support and implement new, customer-focused processes in accordance with lean principles. + Provide training and coaching to improve standard work, work center organization (5S), and housekeeping. + Foster an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging production staff to challenge existing processes. + Support production staff in understanding company policies and practices. + Maintain time, attendance, vacation, and production records. + Take ownership of process-related problems and support production staff in taking corrective action. + Communicate with and listen to production staff daily regarding performance, initiatives, policy changes, safety, and quality. + Communicate with other supervisors and appropriate personnel regarding equipment, safety, work center schedules, and performance improvement plans. + Hire and retain a diverse, highly qualified staff and provide ongoing performance feedback. + Maintain a safe and professional work environment. + Improve product quality, labor efficiency, and throughput using lean manufacturing concepts. **Essential Skills** + Production supervision + Process improvement + Supervisory skills + Production management + Lean manufacturing + 2-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced environment + Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills + Ability to hold others accountable **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience + 3 years of experience working as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment + Familiarity with Lean manufacturing methodology + Experience in identifying and driving operational change and excellence + Ability to oversee at least 20-30 people + Bilingual + Self-starter with a safety focus **Why Work Here?** We offer a competitive salary that rewards performance and dedication, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and prescription drug programs, a retirement 401(k) program, vacation and holidays, flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, employee assistance, mental health/substance abuse program, and life insurance.
