Reporting to the Plant Manager, this exempt position will focus on creating an environment that is safe, efficient, and high performing in production and quality. The Production Supervisor will display a high level of leadership and build an exceptional workforce using Marmon Renew Mission, Vision, and Values as the primary tools. Must be able to provide direction to employees, create an engaging and inclusive work environment, and hold team accountable. This position engages cross-functionally with other departments such as Quality, Safety, Sales, Engineering, or Finance. Salary range $55 - $60K annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Drives production efforts by supervising production staff, monitoring and adjusting product flow, identifying causes of performance gaps and action items needed to close said gaps. Accountable for performance of assigned departmentsDevelops and mentors the production employees to create an exceptional workforce, including employee training, coaching, and development plans.Maintains a quality product by enforcing production standards, conducting audits, completing quality reports, creating error proofing measures and other quality controls.Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established 5S, maintenance, and safety policies and procedures.Responsible for hiring decisions, addressing performance concerns, resolving personnel issues, issuing disciplinary actions, completing performance reviews, or leading other difficult conversations when necessary.Tracks and communicates key production indicators, using the data to conduct team scoreboard meetings and report performance.Identifies opportunities to improve systems, processes, and tooling, and carries out actions to implement solutions. Frequently uses computers to perform data recording, communication, document control, and administrative tasks.Completes required daily paperwork and administrative tasks.Creates and revises standard work documentation.Prioritizes and gives work direction that fits the needs of the business and customers.Works with other departments to address concerns around production or quality.Perform special projects, such as prototyping, kaizens, and initial production runs.Support production with hands-on work in areas as needed through operation of small hand tools, and transporting and lifting equipment.Travel is required occasionally for training, regional field work, or to pick-up parts, tooling, or other product in emergency situations.

Required Qualifications, Skills/Competencies:

High school diploma or general education degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting.Preferably a minimum of 1-year supervising and leading a team, or 1-year in a Production Lead role at Marmon Renew.Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.Ability to work individually and well with others.Strong computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.Strong leadership, planning, team management, and decision-making skills.Must be a self-starter, possess organizational skills and be able to prioritize work.

Pay Range:

44,000.00 - 66,000.00
