Production Supervisor
**Job Title: Production Supervisor** **Job Description:** We are seeking an experienced and hands-on **Front-Line Supervisor** to join our team. As a key leader in our manufacturing operations, you will oversee a team of 10-20 associates, including production associates, setup personnel, and contingent workers. Some of the contingent workforce may require translation support, so flexibility in communication is essential. In this role, you will: + Supervise a team of associates, ensuring safety, quality, and delivery goals are met across 13-27+ machines. + Address and resolve issues in real-time, including safety concerns, machine adjustments, and production challenges. + Work within different departments (e.g., paint, molding, stamping) and communicate across functions such as maintenance, production, engineering, and quality. + Lead the team on the production floor 100% of the time, guiding processes, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining productivity. + Prioritize tasks and manage the sequence of parts being run to ensure smooth operations. + Monitor and report daily production data, including scrap and downtime, using Excel and other production tracking software. + Communicate effectively between shifts, attending handoff meetings to ensure seamless operations. + Train and mentor new employees, ensuring they meet productivity targets and follow the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) process. + Enforce proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe working environment. + Assist with hands-on tasks, such as pulling parts, moving materials, dumping scrap, or operating machines as needed. + Use root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement and address issues as they arise. **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** **MUST HAVES:** + At least 2 years of leadership experience, including team leading, coaching, or supervising in a manufacturing or production environment. + Experience in making adjustments to processes and machinery to improve operations. + Willingness to be hands-on and on the production floor 100% of the time. + Basic computer skills, including data entry and email communication. + Experience in addressing and resolving issues in the moment with employees, ensuring immediate corrective actions. **PLUSES:** + Experience in molding or stamping processes. + Automotive manufacturing experience. **Employee Value Proposition (EVP):** + **Annual pay increases** based on performance. + **Steel-toe shoe stipend** for safety footwear (composite required on-site). + All **tools and toolboxes** provided. + **Healthcare benefits** are fully covered in the first year of employment. If you cannot train on days, alternate training options will be available. + **Pay** : Starting at $23.80/hour - $25/hour (includes shift differential). + **Work Environment** : The plant is loud with the smell of rubber. It features older machinery, though the facility is well-lit and maintained.
