**Job Title: Production Supervisor** **Job Description** The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising all department employees and ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards. This role requires using independent judgment and exercising discretion in executing duties. Confidentiality is of utmost importance in this position. **Responsibilities** + Supervise all personnel and operations in the department. + Maintain thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment. + Coordinate production with schedulers and other supervisors to organize work for smooth operation. + Ensure established policies, rules, regulations, and procedures are followed to provide a safe and efficient working environment. + Be responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the area, meeting production quality and quantity standards on the shift. + Train, evaluate, and review all department employees, ensuring adherence to current ISO procedures. + Be able to work any shift. **Essential Skills** + Supervision + Production supervision + Maintenance management + Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent education and experience + Leadership development + Knowledge of union laws + Six Sigma + Supervisory skills + Production management + Continuous improvement + Lean manufacturing + Process improvement + Management skills **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Four-year college degree and/or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge. + Three years of supervision experience. + Ability to lead. + Good written and oral communication skills. + Team player. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. or more. + Problem-solving skills. **Why Work Here?** Our company values safety, quality, and service. Flexibility to come in earlier or stay late as needed is important. During peak seasons, the production floor may require up to 80 hours of work with additional weekend pay incentives. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, safety glasses, and hearing protection when on the production floor. The environment is a typical tire manufacturing facility with both older and new automated equipment. It is not temperature controlled, and the team size includes overseeing maintenance technicians. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Des Moines, Iowa. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $56000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
