Position Overview: Are you a hands-on leader looking to make an impact in aerospace manufacturing? As a Production Supervisor at DG, you'll lead a team in a fast-paced, high-precision environment, overseeing Antenna Bonding & Assembly, Chemical Coating, Composite Bonding, and Finishing (Paint, Sanding, and Touch-Up). If you have expertise in either Paint or Composites, we encourage you to apply—you'll bring your technical knowledge in one area while receiving training and support to expand your expertise across the others. Key Responsibilities: + Oversee daily operations across Antenna Bonding & Assembly, Chemical Coating, Composite Bonding, and Finishing (Paint, Sanding, and Touch-Up) to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. + Assign work orders, prioritize tasks, and optimize workforce efficiency to meet production goals and deadlines, working closely with Production Control to adjust schedules as needed. + Monitor key performance metrics (productivity, efficiency, and quality), identifying and resolving bottlenecks and quality concerns in collaboration with cross-functional teams. + Provide leadership, coaching, and training to leadspersons and operators, ensuring adherence to proper standards, procedures, and safety protocols while fostering a collaborative work environment. + Manage employee performance, hiring, training, evaluations, and disciplinary actions, ensuring team engagement and development. + Drive continuous improvement efforts using lean manufacturing tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce waste. + Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment in collaboration with the Facility Manager and Safety Director. + Submit purchase requisitions for supplies and equipment to maintain uninterrupted operations. + Regularly communicate department updates to management and implement process improvements. + Perform additional tasks assigned by management Required Qualifications: + High School Diploma or GED + 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing management role, supervising direct reports and overseeing daily production operations. + Expertise in either Paint or Composites (required), with the ability to learn and oversee bonding, chemical coating, and finishing. + Proven leadership experience, managing teams to meet production goals and drive process improvements. + Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze workflow efficiency, production issues, and quality concerns. + Experience executing production schedules, managing resources, and adjusting workflow to meet changing demands. + Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work) and ability to train employees in these methods. + ERP system experience for tracking work orders, materials, and inventory. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications to ensure production accuracy. + Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance in a manufacturing setting. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) + Experience in aerospace, aviation, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries (e.g., defense, automotive, medical devices, etc). + Familiarity with FAA, ITAR, and AS9100 standards + Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification Why You'll Love Working Here: We are a multi-generational team with members representing a diversity of cultures, educational backgrounds, experience levels and ideas all 'making it happen' from one location in beautiful, coastal South Florida.
