Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include meeting production requirements, on-time shipments, quality, safety and housekeeping.
Duties are performed under the general supervision of the Operations Manager while working directly with process personnel to optimize quality and throughout. Responsibilities Schedules all direct labor personnel on daily work activities.Ensures personnel are trained on latest revision levels of ISO/TS16949 procedures and Work Instructions.Ensures employees are complying with manufacturing process documentation.Maintains schedule adherence and works with management on proper staffing levels to meet schedules.Maintains proper quality standards on all products being produced on shift.Ensures that all documentation is being filled out and distributed properly.Answers employee questions and directs them regarding work flow, equipment, production processes and procedures.Distributes supplies, takes inventory, and initiates reorder as needed.Advises plant manager of process improvement ideas, production issues, maintenance items, safety matters, and other information.Performs positions in the focus factory as needed including production paperwork, data entry, ability to red blueprints if called for, operate forklift, hoists and lifts.Must be able to handle multiple issues simultaneously.Follows acceptable employee relation practices and company policies.Work independently or with others to determine, troubleshoot and solve problems.Ensures employees maintain and practice proper safety requirements including good housekeeping.Security of building.Candidate should be open to either first or second shift. QualificationsEducation/Experience: High school diploma/GED; or three years equivalent experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior supervisory experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
