Immediately Hiring: Production Supervisor - Electromechanical Assembly Company: Dayton Granger Industry: Aerospace and Aviation Component Manufacturing Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315 Shift: Monday-Friday 1st Shift Direct Hire, Full Time, Great Benefits Position Summary: The Production Supervisor for the Electromechanical Assembly department is responsible for overseeing the production workflow, ensuring the efficient assembly of electromechanical components in compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and production timelines. The role includes coordinating with production control, managing daily work schedules, supervising a team of assembly operators, and driving continuous improvement efforts within the department. Key Responsibilities: + Oversee the scheduling and execution of all production work orders within the electromechanical assembly department, ensuring timely and accurate assembly of products according to quality and workmanship standards. + Coordinate with Production Control to manage the master production schedule, adapting priorities as necessary to meet business needs and production goals. + Lead a team of assembly operators by assigning daily tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance to meet labor efficiency and safety standards. + Conduct root cause analysis for any non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. + Ensure all production paperwork is completed accurately and on time, maintaining clear records for quality control and audit purposes. + Identify and address any quality concerns or workmanship issues promptly, escalating them to management if necessary. + Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging operators to contribute ideas for process improvements and increased efficiency. + Assist with training and development initiatives for lead operators and assembly team members, ensuring proper assembly standards and safety protocols are followed. + Participate in hiring processes, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed, always adhering to company policies. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, in line with company safety standards and regulations. + Monitor inventory levels and submit purchase requisitions for necessary supplies and equipment. + Enforce all company safety procedures and work closely with the Facility Engineer/Safety Director to ensure a safe working environment. Required Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent required; further technical education is a plus. + Minimum of 2 years of experience in electromechanical assembly or a similar manufacturing environment. + Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and lead a team effectively. + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and assembly instructions. + Strong communication and problem-solving skills. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. + Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and a proactive approach to driving efficiency. Supervisory Responsibilities: + Directly supervise all lead operators and assembly team members in the Electromechanical Assembly department.
