Production Supervisor - Food Industry

Our client, a leading food processing company, is seeking a Production Supervisor to join their team. As a Production Supervisor, you will be part of the production department supporting the team in achieving production goals in a highly efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Production Supervisor
**Location:** Monroe, OH
**Pay Rate:** $27.00 per hour
**Shift:** 1am-9am Sunday - Saturday with two days off per week.
**What's the Job?**
+ Lead, guide, and direct the activities of employees engaged in the production, receiving, and warehouse work areas
+ Execute daily production documentation in line with the production goals, critical check points, metal detectors, lot number tracking for all ingredients and sanitation with operators, packers, receivers, and loadout employees
+ Ensure the safety of workers in the organization by reinforcing standard safety policies for the department and frequently evaluating tasks from a safety standpoint, guiding team members to safe work habits
+ Assign employees to appropriate positions to optimize productivity, control and reduce cost (labor and material efficiencies) along with other controllable items that impact profitability
+ Prepare production reports for upper management staff
**What's Needed?**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required, degree preferred
+ 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership role required
+ Familiarity with food processing or food packaging processes
+ Knowledge of food safety/GMP’s or advanced sanitation preferred
+ Intermediate computer skills including MS Word, Excel, & Outlook are required
