Job Description

As a Production Supervisor/Group Leader, you are responsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment Participates in the training, developing and evaluating of hourly team members Participates in the development of highly effective teamsLeads Global Manufacturing Systems(GMS) processes and serves as resource supporting launch and pilot activities in assigned areasMeets or exceeds production cost schedule and maintains quality requirementsMaintains awareness of quality standards, and communicates department quality goals, and leverages resources to solve quality issuesBuilds and maintains good working relationships with employees, union and managementUnderstands and consistently administer the National and Local Agreements between Company and the United Auto Workers UnionImplements and follows systems that prevent reoccurrence of known issuesPromote safe work practices and achieve objectives for ergonomics, health and safety and housekeepingMotivates, trains and develops employees to effectively perform their jobs utilizing standardized methodsEnsure team members receive adequate JIT (job instruction training)Achieve production schedules and product requirements by applying lean manufacturing/synchronous principles with emphasis on variation reduction, control costs, and achieve productivity improvementsCoach, teach, counsel and mentor team members in these responsibilitiesThe candidate will be responsible for the implementation and execution of business processes in supply chain or assembly to support vehicle operations, as well as foster an atmosphere of teamwork through effective communication, training, coaching, and development This position provides a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally to support Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost and Environment (SPQRC)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00
