Job Summary
The Harvest Supervisor will be responsible for directing, controlling, and coordinating a team of individuals to create a positive work environment with high morale. Developing good working relationships which reflects a commitment to safety (human & food), along with product quality, while maintaining constructive relations through company values and behaviors in action.

Participate in operational meetingsEvaluate departmental work performance and take corrective actions as necessaryUse Kronos reporting information to establish crewing shortagesScheduling (communicating with employees on tasks that need to be completed)Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize productivity, efficiency, and produce a quality productTroubleshoot areas to minimize downtime during productionSafety & Quality assurance
Perform SQF checks in area of responsibility to assure all assignments are being completedConstantly monitor department for cleanliness / housekeepingEnsure that product contamination is kept to a minimumConduct job specific training to guarantee the proper operation of equipmentFollow and monitor proper safety equipment usage and safety practicesPerform thorough accident investigations as necessaryHolding monthly safety meetings and group discussions to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, and industry standardsAdministrative duties
Reporting policy infractions and being involved with taking the appropriate disciplinary stepsIssue disciplinary action in accordance with company standard practices and proceduresVerify labor hours (Kronos) to ensure all department crewing and payroll report accuracyNOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications (Required):
Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship3-5 years proven supervisory experienceDemonstrate knowledge of Harvest operations (yield / sanitary dress, carcass anatomy, animal welfare etc.)Must be able to effectively communicate in English (speaking, reading, and writing)Extensive traveling which may include extended stays at plant sitesPreferred Qualifications:
HS Diploma or GED.Post high school education, associate, or bachelor’s degree.Bi-lingual (speaking, reading, and writing)Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good computer skills: ability to use designated programs including Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)Display a strong work ethic and a professional attitude and appearanceAbility to overcome reasonable obstaclesAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formMust be assertive and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environmentAbility to perform consistent, accurate work with minimal direction while working successfully as part of a teamStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPhysical Demands
