Ensure production and quality goals are achieved through teamwork and clear communication. Train and develop operators for success in the above goals and for future opportunities. Establish and maintain a solid working relationship with both internal departments as well as external resources. Responsibilities: + Direct and coordinate the activities of team members engaged in the production or processing of materials, such as Technical Operators and Sr. Technical Operators + Enforce safety and other applicable rules and regulations + Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs + Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activates within or between departments + Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production and quality goals + Manage hiring, retention, evaluation, and development of hourly employees + Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions + Monitor quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions + Conduct production planning and ensure key performance indicators are met + Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new team members, or assign team members to experienced operators for training + Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards + Confer with management, peers and others to resolve team member’s problems, complaints, or grievances + Interpret and apply company policies and procedures, specifications, blueprints and job orders for team members + Conduct thorough and timely Layered Process Audits in appropriate work areas + Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards: + Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain + Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container + Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: + High School Diploma or GED required + Vocational Certificate or associate's degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience Experience: + 3 to 6+ years of experience in complex mechanical assembly, tooling, and manufacturing assembly equipment, including PLC equipment + 1 to 3+ years of leadership experience + Working experience with PPAP requirements + Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost analysis, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods Skills: + Planning and organizational skills + Timely decision-making + Composure and effective communication skills + Problem solving and critical thinking skills + Creativity and innovation + Ability to lead with compassion and equity + MS Office Suite
